Background: Abby is the daughter to deaf parents. She has an older sister who is also deaf and a younger brother. Abby is very close to her family and also fluent in American Sign Language. However, she's not very adept at reading lips. Her family had a home next to a wrecking yard and she'd always been fascinated by the cars. Sometimes she would sneak in and try to figure out the why of the crashes. "Action, reaction, the science of the whole thing, I got hooked." Because of this fascination, Abby attended Louisiana State University with a triple major in Sociology, Criminology, and Psychology. After that, Abby got her Masters at Georgia State University in Criminology and Forensic Science. Once she graduated she went to work for NCIS as their Forensic Scientist and has been working with Gibbs for five years. Description Name: Abigail "Abby" Sciuto Age: 29 Hair: Dyed black, usually worn in pigtails Eyes: Hazel Tattoos: 9 including a large cross on her back and a spider web on her neck. Signature look: She dresses Goth style; she has tattoos, wears short skirts, platform boots, and is fond of red and black. Special Skills: Materials Analysis, Computer Science, Blood and Tissue Analysis, Ground Penetrating Radar Operator, DNA Analysis, Ballistics Personality: Abby is very upbeat and loves to give and receive hugs. Her first instinct is usually to solve people's problems by hugging them. She has a very strong work ethic and can usually be found spending most nights in her lab working all hours until something is solved. Abby is outgoing and talkative but despite that, she prefers to work alone. She is very much a perfectionist and feels that it's easier to do it herself than have to re-do it when someone else works it. She has a strong social conscience and spends her free time on projects such as Habitat for Humanity, providing electrical wiring work on social housing projects. |
